More People On Food Stamps

The articles I have read are trying to blame the economy on this but here are some other interesting facts. The government is actually advertising for people to apply for food stamps http://www.fns.usda.gov/fsp/outreach/radio-buys.htm. They have also relaxed the rules and regulation to obtain food stamps. Our population has only increased in the US by about 7% from 2001 http://www.npg.org/facts/us_pop_projections.htm. Is the government trying to force us all into something? Is our country and leaders taking us down the Socialism path? Make sure you look at what policies, laws, taxes, programs, etc. your presidential candidate is backing.
